On the other side

You'd think they'd tell me my status. I mean, like, it's totally my life, isn't it? Like I don't have a say in what happens to me. They can drag me through this whole process, through the courts, through their god-damned committees and hey ... at the end of it, I'm gonna get canned, like right? So when I ask them what the bottom line is, and they refuse to answer, it's like I have no idea what's on the other side, waiting for me. Do I get fired and get screwed on unemployment, or do they give me a severance package? Do I get laid off with a golden parachute, or no parachute at all? It's all a total mystery to me and what they don't appreciate is that it's my life, and even the lowest of us has some say in what happens in our lives. So screw 'em. I'm on my own here. I'll figure out what's on the other side for me, not let them do it for me. I'm gonna find a new job before they can even take it another step further. These bureaucracies -- the government, all their rules, all their regulations, all their lazy polyester-wearing "not my problem" junkies -- they just don't know what they're doing to lives.

Rage doesn't suit me, like I'm a totally mellow kinda guy. I like to do my own thing, totally go my own way, and if I knew what their plans for me were, I could plan my life. So hey, let me know what's on the other side, guys, so I can make my own plans, like you know?
